hubaneswari Temple is situated on the bank of river Gomati, just on the eastern side of Udaipur city. The temple was built by Maharaja Gobinda Manikya (1662 - 76) A.D).
Rabindranath Tagore wrote the novel Rajarshi and dramas like Bisarjan ,Mukut based on the story of Kingdom of Gobinda Manikya. Tagore took the small state of Tripura to the world stage. People all over the state come to know about Tripura and its reach culture. The temple is now in a dilapidated condition. There is no idol in this temple at present. This is a historical temple of Tripura.
