The Reang dance is quite different in style from other tribal folk dance. Dance-recital standing on the pitcher is a spectacular and attractive dance of the Raeng community .Hojagiri dance is the most attractive form of Reang dance. The dancers stand on the pitcher with lighting lamp on head. Them they employ the rhythmic movement of waist and lower part of the body. The upper part of the body remain all most motion less. It is also called kalsi dance. Standing on a an earthen pitcher with a bottle on the head and lighted lamp on it ,when the Reang belles perform dance twisting rhythmically the lower part of the body, the dance bewilders the onlookers. Physical fitness of the dancer is the primary requirement of this dance.Hojagiri dance has become one of the trade mark of Tribal folk dance of Tripura. It is a graceful dance .
