Boby Chakraborty has won over the heart of millions in Tripura and other part of the country by her captivating and mind blogging   Kuchipudi dance performance quite for a long time like the much talked about Bobby Braganza who has stolen the hearts of millions of youth over night in our country with her innocence, beauty and needless to say boldness. The two Boby are not to be confused with by any means. Bobby  Braganza  was the heroine of the film by the same name  Bobby and Boby Chakraborty is the real  life popular dancer  of Tripura.  Boby Chakraborty is one of the best   Kuchipudi dancer of not only Tripura but the entire North East India.  As a dancer she needs no introduction. By qualification she is MA( Kuchipudi Dance). She did her schooling from Ramesh Higher Secondary School, Udaipur.  After that she went to Rabindra Bharati University for pursuing her higher education. At present she teaches in SDBM Government Music College , Agartala. Her achievement as a dancer is worth mentioning. She received grant from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and Junior Fellowship (2008). She has performed in many places of India. She has also performed in Bangladesh. Her father was the renowned priest of Tripurasundari Temple-Binay Kumar Chakraborty. She is married to Sourabh Saha. In this candid conversation with kiran Bhowmik, Executive News Editor of,  Boby  Chakraborty  reveals  many  secrets of her professional and personal  life. She was very frank to confess that she would like to be remembered as dancer who introduces Kuchipudi Dance to North Easter States of India.  A) Peace of mind.


Q) Who is your role model?

 A) My father 


Q) What was your dream as a child?

  A) To become a classical dancer.


  Q) What is your vision of a perfect society?

 A) Equality and peace.


 Q) How do you spend your free time?

 A) By watching classical dance performances.


 Q) What is the happiest moment of your life?

 A) When I received the second prize in National Dance Youth Festival . 


 Q) Do you have any god father?

 A) My father is my God Father.


  Q) Who is your most favourite author?

  A)  R. N. Tagore.


 Q) How do you relax?

  A) By listening to music.


Q) What do you dislike most in you?

 A) My short temper.

 Q) What do you dislike most in others?

 A) Hypocrisy.


 Q) What is your favourite phrase?

  A) Satyamev Jayate.


 Q) How do you like to be remembered?

  A) As an introducer of kuchipudi dance in north east India and a good human being.

A) Any kind of TV show on classical dance.


Q) What motivates you to do your best work?

A)  Appreciation and recognition.


Q) What makes a job enjoyable for you?

A) Responsibility.


Q) What is your greatest strength?

A) My ability to do hard work is my greatest strength.


Q) What is the most difficult situation you have faced?

 A) Death of my father.

  A)Amir khan.


Q) According to you who is the greatest thinker of the world?

 A) Swami Vivekananda.


Q) How do you handle pressure and stress?

A) Frankly speaking, I cannot handle pressure and stress!


Q) What is your advice to young generation?

A) Hard work .There is no short cut to success in life.

A) M.K Gandhi .

A) Rahul Dravid .


Q)Which TV serial  you dislike most?

A) Daily soaps.

Q) What is your greatest nightmare?

A) That I cannot dance any more.


Q) What is the greatest challenge of our country?

A) Poverty and illiteracy.


Q) Who influence you the most in your childhood days?

A) My mother ( Smt. Jyoti Chakraborty).

Q) Which foreign country would you like to visit?

A) All I want is everything. I want to visit all countries of the world!


Q) What brings tear to your eyes?

A) By seeing the sorry plight of street children.


Q) What is your philosophy of life?

A) That no one should be harmed by me.


Q) What is your success formula?

A) Set a goal and work hard to achieve it.
