 Gay And Asafa Powell Tested Positive For Banned Drugs

 Agartala , 15th  July, 2013 :Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell  two of the four fastest men in history, sent shockwaves  when both men failed drug tests. Tryson Gay, the 30 year old American athlete  who was world champion in 2007 and the fastest man in the world this year tested positive for a banned substance. He was immediately withdrew from next month`s world championships in Moscow by his country.

Jamaican sprint star Asafa  Powell  a former 100m world record holder  he had  also been tested positive for a banned stimulant at his country`s national trials for Moscow.


But the 30-year-old strenuously denied any wrong doing. Only Olympic champion and world record holder Usain Bolt (9.58sec) has gone faster than Gay, whose best of 9.69sec he shares with Yohan Blake of Jamaica. Powell is the fourth fastest man of all time with 9.72sec.
Gay  further claimed to have been misled by a person in his entourage, without providing any specifics. He is a two-time winner of the Jesse Owens Award and was the 2007 Year. On July 14, 2013, Powell  had been  tested positive for the stimulant  Oxilofine  along with   Sherone Simposon
